Aldershot Town 1-0 Bradford City

Wilko Risser gave Aldershot victory over Bradford with a second-half header.

Bantams debutant Chris Dagnall was denied an early goal by Shots goalkeeper Jamie Young, who then saved Michael Flynn’s 35-yard effort.

Aldershot midfielder Michael Doughty went close with a half-volley and Young again kept out Dagnall.

The hosts got their goal when City keeper Jon McLaughlin tipped Rob Sinclair’s cross onto the bar and Risser tapped home.

Defeat was a major blow for the Bantams as they look to continue their climb away from the League Two relegation zone.

The Bantams are now four points above the drop-zone but with a game in hand on both Hereford and Dagenham & Redbridge.
