BRADFORD CITY were last night involved in a loan search for a winger after Paul Anderson became the third wide man at the club to suffer a serious injury.

The 27-year-old’s season is likely to be over following the broken right leg he suffered in the weekend defeat to Peterborough United.

With Filipe Morais also out along with Josh Morris, Phil Parkinson has only Mark Marshall left of the quartet of wingers that the City manager was hoping could spearhead a promotion push.

Joint chairman Julian Rhodes said: “We have discussed a couple of options with Phil so we will see how they work out.”

City have until later this afternoon to make a temporary signing who could then be available against Colchester United.

Parkinson’s former club are in great form after making it three wins in a row at the weekend at Swindon Town, which took the U’s into the top 10.

If a winger cannot be found, Bradford are likely to revert to a diamond formation in midfield for a game that is being beamed live back to Valley Parade.
