Ravenhill commits to Bradford as Haworth agrees loan

Bantams manager Phil Parkinson was determined to bolster his squad during the window and sees Ravenhill, who has spent the past two months on loan at Valley Parade, as a key feature of his future plans.

Ravenhill has signed a two-and-a-half year deal with the League Two club after having his contract cancelled by Notts County.

Haworth, meanwhile, has joined on a month’s loan from Bury and could start against Morecambe tomorrow.

Heading out of Bradford is Steve Williams, the defender having joined Inverness CT on loan until the end of the season.

Robbie Keane is hoping he can make the same impact at Aston Villa as Thierry Henry did on his return to Arsenal after joining the Midlands club on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Henry marked his return to the Gunners by netting the winner against Leeds United in Monday night’s FA Cup tie at the Emirates Stadium.

Former Elland Road striker Keane has linked up with Villa until the end of February and is in contention to play in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League clash at Everton.

The 31-year-old said: “Can I do a Thierry Henry? I hope so. It would be great to do that.

“It was written that he was always going to come back and score on his return to Arsenal.

“Good luck to him, he is obviously a legend at Arsenal.

“If I can do something like that in the six (league) games, and help the team, that is great.”

League Two leaders Crawley have signed former Sheffield United defender Claude Davis on a permanent basis, having initially brought the Jamaican to the club on a short-term deal in September.

Middlesbrough have agreed a fee to sign long-term target Lukas Jutkiewicz from Championship rivals Coventry City.

The 22-year-old striker has scored 18 goals in 69 games following his move from Everton in July 2010.
