Carlisle United 2 Huddersfield Town 2: Clark left disappointed by Terriers' collapse

Huddersfield Town missed out on the chance to climb into the automatic promotion places in League One when they tossed away a 2-0 lead at Carlisle this afternoon.

Jamie McCombe missed out for Town with the flu that caused the defender to miss the 4-1 defeat at Southampton.

Liam Ridehalgh has also been affected by similar symptoms this week but plays, while Damien Johnson (knee) and Gary Naysmith (toe) are definitely out.

Peter Clarke (23) put Terriers in front after good work from Lee Novak.

Scott Arfield (63) then doubled the visitors' advantage.

But then the comeback started, as Francois Zoko (71) and James Chester earned a point for the hosts.

Town boss Lee Clark said: "Of course you're very disappointed when you're 2-0 up away from home.

"We've had a poor finish to the year and I think it just showed a little bit of eagerness to try and do things right and by doing that we got too deep as a group and we couldn't get outside our box.

"We have to rebuild somewhere and that's a base for us to start looking towards some more positive results."
