Charlton Athletic 0 Huddersfield Town 1: Gudjonsson breaks stalemate

Huddersfield Town kept the pressure up on second-placed Southampton in League One with a late winner at Charlton.

Alex Smithies was missing for a fourth consecutive game today with a knee injury, while Liam Ridehalgh is out with the foot injury he picked up against Tranmere Rovers a fortnight ago. Better news for Lee Clark is that Joey Gudjonsson is fit despite having to come off against in last weekend’s draw with Peterborough United.

Gudjonsson finally broke the deadlock on 83 minutes, and with the Saints winning, it meant both sides are locked on 77 points with games remaining.
