Reds caretaker head coach Paul Heckingbottom said: “It was a really good win in the end.

“I thought we started really well and created chances, got good opportunities. We were a little bit wasteful but looked a threat on the counter.

“Early on, it was our final ball that was letting us down. At the end of the first half, they came into it and got a sloppy goal from our part.

“At half time it was a case of every one of our players giving that 10 per cent extra. Second half it was a case of spirit, determination and work rate. The set-plays have won us the game and that’s why we do them, that’s why we work on them.

“It’s a case of keeping going. The next game is all that matters and that’s what we’ll approach it like. It is important but we don’t want to get carried away with anything.”
