Doncaster Rovers 1 Coventry City 1: Hayter in Rovers equaliser

A JAMES Hayter goal ensured Doncaster Rovers took a deserved share of the spoils from today’s home game with fellow strugglers Coventry City, writes Ian Appleyard.

The former Bournemouth striker escaped the attentions of the Coventry defence to meet a chip into the box from substitute James Coppinger and score with a half volley...

Clingan had scored on 32 minutes- beating Rovers goalkeeper Neil Sullivan with an impressive 25 yard drive.

Rovers had enjoyed the better of the game until that stage with Kyle Bennett, Giles Barnes, and Richard Naylor all going close with headers.

Dean Saunders’ men survived a few scares in the second half but on the balance of play, the draw was a fair result.
