FT Doncaster Rovers 2 Ipswich Town 3: Relegated Rovers end on losing note

Doncaster Rovers lost out in the Championship with a 3-2 defeat to Ipswich Town at the Keepmoat Stadium.

French winger Fabien Robert made his final appearance on loan for Rovers and the game also signalled the departure of several other players. Rovers were missing long term injury victims Brian Stock and Tommy Spurr while youngster James Husband kept his place after an impressive introduction to the first team.

But the hosts were behind after just 10 minutes when Tommy Smith put Ipswich in front, before Ryan Stevenson added a second goal on 29 minutes.

Robert replied for Rovers five minutes later on his Keepmoat farewell.

A Jason Scotland penalty made it 3-1 before Habib Beye grabbed a late goal to finish the season for Rovers on a losing note.
