Darren Ferguson’s return to his former club ended in defeat at London Road.
The former Posh boss was left helpless as his new Doncaster team crumbled to a 4-0 loss.
Goals from Gabriel Zakuani (9), Erhun Oztumer (36), Callum Elder (46) and Conor Washington (73) did the damage.
Rovers now sit third-from-bottom in League One.
