Opposition key man: Jordan Rhodes - Did not get his desired move away from Blackburn in the summer but the striker continues to score goals.

Talking point: Steve Bruce made nine changes in midweek and most made an impact so he has quite a headache in terms of selecting today’s team.

Last time: Middlesbrough 0 Leeds United 1; February 21, 2015; Championship. Boro had 27 efforts on goal but Marco Silvestri stood firm to seal a league double for United.

Key players: Sol Bamba had a fine game for United at the Riverside last year and the captain will need to be on top form once again if Boro are to be denied a seventh straight win.

Talking point: Leeds did an unlikely double over Aitor Karanka’s men last season, as did Sheffield Wednesday. Boro have to do better this time around or risk floundering again.

Last six games: Sheffield United LWDLLD Doncaster Rovers DWDLLD.

Referee: M Heywood (Cheshire).

Last time: Sheffield United 3 Doncaster Rovers 2, April 7 2015, League One: Goals from Jose Baxter and Matt Done were cancelled out by a double from Kyle Bennett for Rovers, before Steve Davies grabbed a 71st minute winner for United.

Key men: Billy Sharp is in a rich seam of form for Sheffield United, and with five goals in his last six games, will be looking to add to that tally against one of his former clubs. Talking of former players, Rovers’ Andy Butler will be desperate to prove a point after a short spell at Bramall Lane under Nigel Clough. The defender can also be a danger at set-pieces.

Talking point: Doncaster Rovers do not like travelling away from the Keepmoat Stadium, if their League One results are anything to go by. In four away games this season, Rovers have yet to score a single goal and picked up a solitary point in a 0-0 draw at Wigan. United have scored seven in four games at Bramall Lane, but conceded six, so those statistics suggest Rovers will definitely get some chances this afternoon.
