Tyson seeking change of fortune in League Cup
Last season’s run to the third round with Rovers is, the 33-year-old says, about as good as it has got. One particularly low point came when playing for Wycombe Wanderers in 2005 against Aston Villa.
“We were 3-1 up at half-time but ended up losing 8-3,” laughs Tyson, who opened the scoring that particular night at Adams Park.

Hide AdTyson, who is back to full fitness after a calf strain in pre-season, will be hoping his luck can change tonight when Leeds United head to the Keepmoat.
Rovers started the campaign with a 1-1 draw at home to Bury that will be forever remembered for the bizarre scenes in stoppage time that saw Paul Dickov order his players to let the visitors cancel out a freakish goal by Harry Forrester in a commendable sporting gesture.
Tyson didn’t start against the Shakers but is in line for a possible recall against Leeds as he looks to go on a long overdue League Cup run.
“I have not done too great in this competition,” he said. “Last season was probably my best. My first appearance (for Reading) was in the competition against Luton (in a 4-0 win as a substitute) but that was years ago.

In the opposite camp tonight will be Charlie Taylor, the York-born full-back who is looking forward to a tie that is likely to see as many away fans in the crowd as those from Doncaster. With our away support, it will be a bit like a home game,” said the 21-year-old striker.
“There are a lot of Leeds fans in Donny so the result matters. It is a game we really want to win.
“I saw the results on Tuesday (when several Championship clubs were humbled).
