The fixture at the Keepmoat Stadium will be screened live on Sky Sports on Thursday, August 13 (7.45pm).

As a result, the Leeds’s trip to Reading, scheduled for Saturday, August 15, has now been put back 24 hours to Sunday, August 16 (3pm).

Dickov said: “It’s a fantastic tie, a local derby and bragging rights are at stake for both sets of supporters.

“To be under floodlights brings that extra bit of spark to the tie, and to now have Sky here is fantastic.

“I’m looking forward to going head-to-head with Uwe who is an old friend of mine. He is a great guy and our lads even play in the same school team together.

“Myself and the lads hope the whole town gets behind us and helps fill this stadium for what should be a magnificent cup tie.”

Leeds are unbeaten in six matches in all competitions at the Keepmoat, winning five, with Rovers having not beaten United on home soil since way back in August 1951.

Leeds have won on their last four visits in all competitions to Doncaster.

Goals from Scott Wootton, Matt Smith and Ross McCormack gave Leeds a 3-1 triumph in the second round of the Capital One Cup at the Keepmoat in August 2013.
