Guiseley then showed their skill with Dickinson and Craddock linking well before the latter fired over the bar.

It should have been 1-0 to Dover but Payne’s free-kick was saved by Steve Drench, who then had no right to make a fantastic reaction stop to Miller’s effort.

The second half began with Dover creating further chances, but their best effort saw substitute Toby Ajala, whose fierce strike hit the underside of the bar.

The Lions’ best chance of the remaining 45 minutes fell to Adam Boyes, who delivered a powerful effort from long range which just went wide.

Late on Dover looked like grabbing a late winner, but Sean Raggett’s header hit the bar.

The sides had to settle for a point and a result which means Guiseley are now five games unbeaten in the National League.
