HUDDERSFIELD TOWN'S Elias Kachunga has said the club's tough double-header inside the next week against Manchester City and Arsenal is almost a free hit due to the pressure being on the opposition.

The Terriers, sitting tenth in the Premier League, host Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Blues this Sunday in front of the live Sky cameras.

A trip to the Emirates Stadium follows on Wednesday night to take on an Arsenal side still buoyed by their recent North London derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

“These next two games are almost free ones,” said Kachunga, Town’s top scorer last season as promotion was clinched via the play-offs.

“Our next one is not the easiest, but anything can happen. We just try our best and maybe take a point or three off them.”

City will arrive at the John Smith’s Stadium on the back of a 10-game winning run in the league. Only Everton have so far managed to stop the runaway leaders, the Merseysiders taking a point from their visit to the Etihad Stadium on the second weekend of the season.

It has been a similar story in the Champions League with the Blues having claimed a maximum 15 points from their five group games.

Clearly, Huddersfield can expect to face a very different City side to the one they took to a replay in the FA Cup fifth round last term by grinding out a goalless draw on home soil.

Despite that, and Town having lost 4-0 on their last outing at Bournemouth, goalkeeper Jonas Lossl insists the Yorkshire club will not be overawed.

“This defeat did not make any difference to the next game,” said the Dane. “We will be there for that, we have a strong character and a great team.

“We will give everything against a fantastic team who seem unstoppable. It would be fun to be the first one to stop them. We believe in ourselves.”

Kachunga, too, does not believe there will be any hangover from that heavy loss on the south coast to a Cherries side who played for the entire second half with 10 men following the dismissal of Simon Francis.

“We know we have to win the games against the teams like Bournemouth,” added the 25-year-old. “That was a big disappointment, but we can make it better.”
