FT Huddersfield Town 2 Rochdale 2: Terriers lose ground on rivals

Huddersfield Town saw the gap on the automatic promotion places grow after dropping two poinst to strugglers Rochdale to the Galpharm Stadium.

Lee Novak was sore after the midweek win over Hartlepool United but started for Town.

Two goals at the end of the first half finally broke the Galpharm stalemate.

First Danny Ward put Town in front, only for Tutte to equalise with an immediate response.

But Jordan Rhodes struck three minutes after half-time to restore the home side’s advantage.

Just when it seemed the hosts were going to earn all three points, Ashley Grimes netted a second equaliser for Rochdale.

With both Sheffield clubs winnings, it meant Town lost precious points to their rivals.
