Half term report: Barnsley

Emma Labedzki, of Barnsley

At the start of the season I feared for our Championship status under Simon Davey and I really could not see where our next points were coming from. However, since Mark Robins was appointed, our fortunes have really turned around and we are now steadily climbing the table – long may it continue. We were amongst the favourites to be relegated but recent results have started to excite the fans and given us the belief that we really could achieve something special this season.

Are your team exceeding pre-season expectations or under-achieving? Exceeding.

Most disappointing player? O'Neill Thompson – showed promise in pre-season but hasn't featured under Mark Robins.

Best moment? Carl Dickinson's 90th minute free-kick to nick a priceless win over Cardiff – revenge for the FA Cup semi-final.

Worst moment? Leading 4-1 against Plymouth after 58 mins only for the referee to abandon the match due to torrential rain.
