Huddersfield Town are in a relegation battle admits Carlos Corberan
A roller-coaster afternoon saw Town forge a 2-0 lead shortly before the break after goals from Juninho Bacuna and Isaac Mbenza but Wanderers midfielder Anis Mehmeti started the fightback by reducing the arrears just ahead of the interval.

Joe Jacobsen drew Wycombe level from the penalty spot after Jonathan Hogg fouled Uche Ikpeazu and strong pressure to get a winner was rewarded when Josh Knight netted a dramatic late winner.
It was no more than Wycombe deserved as Town’s wretched start to the new year continued with a seventh league game without a victory.

He said that his side must find a ‘strong mentality’ to cope with a tough situation and admits that confidence is currently a big issue.
Corberan commented: “It is a very difficult moment for us and it was not the result that we wanted to get. We did not know how to manage the pressure to get a positive result that we wanted to get. In some moments of the game, the team were a little bit nervous in managing the ball and there was anxiety.

“The team did not have enough confidence and did not manage the pressure of having to win.
“I did not see the team in the way I like to see.
“There are things we have to change. It is easy to have confidence when you are getting results. But the challenge is to have confidence in yourself when you are not getting the results.

On whether his side are in a relegation scrap, Corberan, who says that he completely understands why supporters will be unhappy with such a poor result, added: “I can understand the feelings of our fans and our job is to change these feelings and dynamics of the results and recover the confidence we need to win together.
“Our challenge is to keep Huddersfield in the Championship.
“Of course, you are not winning games and you are losing points, we are fighting, as our main target, to keep Huddersfield in the Championship.”
