Danny Ward - Beaten by Kenneth Zohore and then sent off for handling outside the area. Nightmare day. 4

Tommy Smith - Two of the three goals came from down his right flank. Needed better protection which was difficult after sending off. 5

Michael Hefele - Started well but along with rest of his defence, struggled to cope with Zohore. 6

Christopher Schindler - Quick into the tackle but struggled with extra requirements once down to 10 men. 6

Chris Lowe - Part of a defence that ultimately struggled to cope with the direct running of Zohore and Junior Hoilett. 5

Jonathan Hogg - Taken off in the second half. Difficult for him to assert himself on the game. 5

Aaron Mooy - Back in the line-up but job more of a fire-fighting one once Town reduced to 10 men. 6

Isaiah Brown - Ran at the heart of Cardiff whenever he could but those instances were few and far between. 6

Rajiv van la Parra - Dinked a shot onto the roof of the net and carried the greatest threat for Huddersfield. 7

Sean Scannell - Busied himself early on but was sacrificed when Ward was dismissed. 6

Colin Quaner - Had a good chance in first half but by and large ploughed a lone furrow. 6
