HUDDERSFIELD TOWN start the new Championship campaign at home to Bournemouth on August 9 - having hammered the Cherries 5-1 at the John Smith’s Stadium last term.

Mark Robins’ side make the trip to Anthony Gerrard’s old club Cardiff City for their first away game of the season on August 16 and face a tough trip to Reading three days later.

Town welcome Middlesbrough on September 13 and Wigan three days later before making the visit to Elland Road on September 20.

November sees Town start off at home to Nottingham Forest on November 1 and face a home derby against Sheffield Wednesday on November 22.

Christmas sees Huddersfield entertain Lee Clark’s Birmingham on December 20, with their Boxing Day fixture being the short trip to Rotherham followed by a home clash to see out 2014 against Bolton Wanderers on December 28.

Watford provide the visiting opposition for their opener to 2015 on January 10 and Town visit Boro on January 17. The final game of January is a mouth-watering derby at home to Leeds United on January 31.

Town host Rotherham United on March 7 and visit Hillsborough on Easter Saturday, April 4.

Their Easter Monday opponents are Mick McCarthy’s Ipswich Town two days later.

Town’s final home game of the season is at home to Jordan Rhodes’ Blackburn Rovers on April 25 with Robins’ side finishing the season at Bloomfield Road against Blackpool, which sees new assistant boss Steve Thompson make his first return to the Seasiders.
