Huddersfield Town striker Lee fails in ban appeal

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN striker Alan Lee has failed in his bid to overturn his red card and will now have to sit out the next three games.

The 33-year-old was dismissed during the weekend win over Notts County following a clash with Sam Sodje just after the hour but had hoped a Football Association disciplinary panel would rule the referee had got it wrong.

However, after the FA panel met today, Lee must now miss Monday’s trip to leaders Charlton Athletic, the December 3 home game with Bournemouth and the Yorkshire derby with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough a week later.
