LEE CLARK admits Huddersfield Town have ground to make up on their promotion rivals after a disappointing week.

Back-to-back defeats at Swindon Town and Rochdale have seen the Terriers drop from top to eighth with their points tally standing at 14 from nine games.

With Clark having set the pre-season target of a two-points-per-game ratio, he says: "I work in blocks of 10 games and before seeing what happens against Bristol Rovers I think we are a little bit behind target.

"As a result, the next block of 10 will be huge for us in terms of picking up those extra points."

Today will see Clark line up against former Fulham team-mate Paul Trollope, whose Bristol Rovers side are the visitors to the Galpharm Stadium.

Clark added: "If Paul is anything to go by, his team will be meticulous in their preparation and do everything to the smallest detail. He is a brilliant professional and a good lad, but I want to beat him this weekend."
