The Tigers' Saturday evening game at Wigan Athletic had to be postponed on Sunday because of a Covid-19 outbreak at the Lancashire club, but the League One visit of Accrington Stanley will now be played on January 19, kicking off at 5.30pm. The return game will be just seven days later.

The fixture was originally scheduled for early November, but was called off because of positive tests in the Stanley camp. Hull decided not to overburden themselves by rearranging for the week before Christmas, but since then a spate of infections have caused havoc with the League One table. Accrington have played 16 matches, bottom-of-the-table Burton Albion 22.

Hull are second, four points behind Lincoln City having played 19 games to the Imps's 20.

After their January 12 Football League Trophy game at home to Fleetwood Town they have league matches against Blackpool, Portsmouth, Swindon Town as well as the Accrington double-header to play in January.
