It promises to be a busy weekend of action in the competition, with sides from the top two tiers of English football entering the fray at the third round stage, but with so many matches it can be hard to keep track of when teams are playing, and how you can watch along from home.

Thankfully, we’ve gathered all the information you need to ensure that you won’t miss a minute of the Tykes’ cup exploits.

It’s not all bad news for the losers, however, with teams who get knocked out still pocketing £20,500.

What does the recent head-to-head record look like?

Barnsley are unbeaten in their last four meeting against Tranmere, but haven’t actually played Rovers since they met in February 2006 in League One.

The Tykes won that game 1-0, and have generally enjoyed positive results against Saturday’s opponents, winning 23 times, drawing a further 17 matches, and losing on 14 occasions.
