Leeds United v Leicester City: Leeds will attempt to rediscover some home comforts

SIMON GRAYSON will wait until this morning before deciding on the fitness of a trio of his players.

Midfielder Amdy Faye and forward Sanchez Watt sat out training yesterday after picking up knocks in the 2-1 victory at Middlesbrough while defender George McCartney missed the session at Thorp Arch due to illness.

It could mean a significant shuffling of the pack for Grayson as his ninth-placed side welcome a Leicester City outfit who, under the guidance of new manager Sven Goran Eriksson, may be trickier opponents than their bottom-three placing suggests.

"Both Amdy and Sanchez took knocks on the ankle and neither trained on Monday," said Grayson, with Faye perhaps the biggest doubt after he left the Riverside with his ankle in a protective boot last Saturday evening.

"There were a few tackles flying in and both are doubts.

"George is sick and hasn't trained either, and we've got one or two other knocks from the weekend, so we'll see where we are on Tuesday morning.

"It might be that one or two other players get an opportunity."

Tonight's fixture marks Leeds's first return to home territory since they surrendered a 4-1 lead against Preston to lose 6-4 three weeks ago.

Three goals have been conceded in the two games since as Leeds's creaking defence continues to be their Achilles heel on their first season back in the Championship.

But midfielder Robert Snodgrass believes the memory of the painful defeat to Preston will serve them well tonight.

"We've had a few weeks to get ourselves back to normality," said the Scot. "It was such a bad defeat conceding six goals but everyone will be up for it to try and repay the fans for such a poor performance against Preston."

Last six games: Leeds LDWLLW; Leicester LWLLLD.

Last time: Leeds 1 Leicester 1; League One; December 26, 2008.
