The Spaniard is preparing his Town charges for the opening of the Championship season in just over three weeks time, with the Terriers likely to start their competitive campaign with a Carabao Cup tie at Rochdale a fortnight tomorrow.

So far on the incoming front, Town have brought in former striker Danny Ward and have been linked with several other players, including Leeds youngster Robbie Gotts.

On recruitment and potentially players coming in from Leeds on loan, Corberan - who confirmed that Flo Hadergjonaj and Ramadan Sodhi are closing to leaving the club - said: "In the market, some opportunities can arrive from Leeds, some can arrive from League One and other opportunities can come out of England. We will be open and analyse every decision we have to make.

"For me, one of the keys for the success of the season is that we try to make the best decisions. We have spent a lot of time with the sporting director and working with him to try and analyse the opportunities in the market very well and make the squad strong."

Meanwhile, Town will be without talisman midfielder Lewis O’Brien for three to four weeks with a quad injury.

Corberan also confirmed that Jonathan Hogg (hip) could out for a couple of weeks with young keeper Ryan Schofield is to undergo thumb surgery and could be sidelined for the next couple of months.

Corberan said: "Unfortunately Lewis has had an injury in the last week, something in the quad, and we are going to lose him for some period of time.

"We are trying to improve his recovery because we want to start doing more training with him - but he is going to lose some of the next weeks.

"We need to make sure when he comes back he is in a good physical condition to go again.

"He will be out of the team for the next three or four weeks. It's a big blow, but these things can happen. it is something we don't want but injuries are part of our work."
