Clayton commits future to Leeds United in wake of Howson exit

Leeds United midfielder Adam Clayton has dismissed speculation he could follow Jonny Howson out of Elland Road.

The 23-year-old, a regular starter for Simon Grayson’s side in this campaign after spells on loan at Peterborough and MK Dons last season, insists his future lies at Leeds.

Clayton said: “I’ve just read the same as what everyone has read that’s all.

People will make of it what they want, but for me, my future is at Leeds United and hopefully for the forseeable future.”

Howson today completed his move to Norwich City of the Premier League on a three-and-a-half year contract.
