Eddie Gray: Leeds haven’t earned the right to play-offs
Gray, writing in his Yorkshire Evening Post column, says four or five teams outside the top six could push in if they have a great run.
But he adds: “As it stands, we are not in the top six and you have to earn the right to have a chance. we have not earned that right.”

They will come into the match on the back of a victory over a Bolton side who have been flying high. If we beat Ipswich and Derby, hopes may rise again, but basically we have to rely on other teams and it is very unlikely. We’ll need to win seven out of our last eight games – 21 points – and there’s nothing I have seen in recent weeks to suggest we can do that.
“You always want to finish the season on a high. But the thing about it is you can’t do that unless you are in the top six.”
Gray said he would not be drawn on naming a successor ro manager Neil Warnock. He said: “ Neil has said he will not be at Leeds next season if we don’t get promotion. Who knows what is going to happen now! but I don’t really like to talk about new managers when there’s a manager still at the football club. Speaking about names is a bit premature for me.”
