It was a forgetful end to the Championship season as Leeds United, Doncaster Rovers and Hull City finished with defeats.

Barnsley could only draw too in the 12.30pm kick-offs, but York City clinched fourth spot in the Blue Square play-offs with victory over Forest Green.

In League One, the two Sheffield clubs are battling for the final automatic promotion place and Huddersfield Town are aiming to pip play-off opponents MK Dons for fourth place in order to gain home advantage in the second leg of the semi-finals.

Relegated Rovers lost out to Ipswich, who netted through Tommy Smith, Ryan Stevenson and a Jason Scotland penalty. Rovers replied through Fabien Robert and Habib Beye.

Two goals from Carlton Cole gave the Hammers victory, as Corry Evans pinched a late consolation.

Danny Webber netted for United, but the Foxes won thanks to goals from Martyn Waghorn and Harry Panayiotou.
