Leeds face FA rap over conduct in Burnley match

LEEDS and Burnley have been charged by the Football Association with failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.

The charge relates to the fiery game between the two sides at Elland Road on April 30, which Leeds won 1-0.

Chris McCann’s high tackle on Max Gradel sparked a melee in the 57th minute, for which the Clarets midfielder was shown one of eight yellow cards in the game.

Both clubs have until 4pm tomorrow to respond.

Meanwhile, West Ham defender Danny Gabbidon has admitted to a charge of improper conduct in relation to comments on his Twitter account on April 16.

Gabbidon, who has requested a non-personal hearing, wrote in the wake of his side’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa: “U know what, **** the lot of you, u will never get another tweet from me again, you just don’t get it do you. Bye bye.”
