Leeds striker Morison set for a rare first team start against Wolves

Morison is in line for a rare opportunity against Wolverhampton Wanderers as Leeds head coach Darko Milanic contemplates an enforced change to his forward line.

Doukara, United’s top scorer with five goals, will serve a one-match ban this weekend - an absence which could have opened the door for high-profile summer signing Sharp.

But injury forced Sharp to miss training yesterday and Milanic is not certain of having the former Sheffield United striker available tomorrow.

Midfielder Rodolph Austin is also a doubt after sitting out of yesterday’s session at Thorp Arch.

Milanic said: “We have some problems with injury. Austin was not involved in training and Billy Sharp also has muscular problems. At this moment I’m not sure who will play.”

Morison has been involved with United’s matchday squads for the past month having missed the early weeks of the season with a calf strain. Signed in January 2013 as part of a swap deal involving Luciano Becchio and Norwich City, Morison’s return to the fold this term came after a year away on loan at Millwall.

The 31-year-old has scored three goals in 18 appearances for Leeds and his last league start for United came in a 2-1 win at Watford in May 2013.
