Arsenal v Hull City

Team news: Tom Huddlestone and Stephen Quinn return from suspension but there are injury doubts over Liam Rosenior, Andrew Robertson and Gaston Ramirez. Michael Dawson is also not ready just yet after injury. For Arsenal, Theo Walcott could feature but Aaron Ramsey (hamstring), Mikel Arteta (calf), Mesut Ozil (knee), Abou Diaby (calf) and Jack Wilshere (ankle) are all out.

Barnsley v Middlesbrough

Team news: George Williams could be handed a full debut for Barnsley, for whom Sam Winnall, James Bree and Joe Dudgeon are sidelined. Captain Martin Cranie and James Bailey will be assessed, with ex-Boro keeper Ross Turnbull available following suspension. Boro could hand rare starts to James Husband, Rhys Williams, Jonathan Woodgate and Tomas Mejias.

Doncaster Rovers v Bristol City

Team news: Richie Wellens and Kyle Bennett, both suffering hamstring strains are doubtful, with Nathan Tyson (calf) struggling. Dean Furman will head to the African Cup of Nations after today’s clash. Andy Butler, Sam Johnstone and Enda Stevens are available.

Huddersfield Town v Reading

Team news: Joel Lynch has returned to training after a groin injury but won’t be risked today against the Royals. Jack Robinson is available as part of his loan deal, as is Radoslaw Majewski while Chris Powell could give Adam Hammill a rare start after a spell out injured.

Lee Peltier, Oscar Gobern and Danny Ward will also be hoping for a run-out.

Manchester City v Sheffield Wednesday

Sunday 3pm...

Team news: Joe Mattock, Lewis Buxton and Sam Hutchinson are all out, though the latter two are jogging in training and could be back to face Nottingham Forest a week today. Stuart Gray, who could bring Chris Kirkland in as he did in the Capital One Cup against City, will be forced into one change by Lewis McGugan returning to parent club Watford after a loan spell. Royston Drenthe has also returned to Reading.

Millwall v Bradford City

Team news: Mark Yeates is out of the trip to The Den after suffering knee ligament damage in the Boxing Day win over Fleetwood. He could, though, be fit for next week’s home clash with Rochdale. Ben Williams, fresh from signing a month’s contract extension, will come in to replace Jordan Pickford in goal, just as he has in all City’s Cup ties this season. Alan Sheehan is also pushing for a start.

QPR v Sheffield United

Sunday 1pm

Team news: Blades welcome back midfielder James Wallace for the first time in six weeks while Craig Alcock and Ryan Flynn hope to return, too, but Chris Basham starts a three-game ban and loanees Chris O’Grady and Paddy McCarthy have been recalled to parent clubs Brighton and Crystal Palace respectively.

Rotherham United v Bournemouth

Team news: Steve Evans is expected to mix his side up, with Emmanuel Ledesma and Tom Lawrence have returned to their parent clubs, while youngsters Mitchell Rose and Nicky Walker have been released. Conor Newton is eyeing his first start after coming off the bench in the December 28 clash at Blackpool.

Sunderland v Leeds United

Team news: Captain Stephen Warnock (ankle) is out, Charlie Taylor being the most likely to deputise. Neil Redfearn is also considering resting teenage duo Alex Mowatt and Lewis Cook after a busy schedule. Noel Hunt will not feature despite his return from a loan spell at Ipswich Town due to picking up a knee injury.

League Two

York City v Plymouth Argyle

Team news: Michael Ingham has had an injection in his troublesome shoulder injury and will now require rest. Russ Wilcox expects the goalkeeper to be available again in two to three weeks.
