MATCH CENTRE Bradford City 2 Northampton 0: Evans on target for Bantams

Bradford City had double reason to celebrate the visit of Northampton Town today in League Two - a deserved victory with manager Peter Taylor having signed a one-year contract extension.

Simon Ramsden returned as a substitute for the Bantams after missing the last nine games with a calf injury that has cleared up sufficiently for the full-back to resume training.

Less good news for Peter Taylor, however, is that James Hanson is unavailable once again, while Omar Daley starts a three-game ban following his dismissal at Chesterfield last week.

Taylor kept faith with the same eleven players that started at Saltergate for the visit of Northampton.

Among the substitutes were Scott Neilson, Matt Glennon and Jonathan Bateson.

Gareth Evans put the hosts ahead after just 12 minutes, before doubling their advantage on 81 minutes.
