Morecambe 2 Rotherham United 0: Moore questions desire of Millers

Rotherham suffered a fourth successive defeat and they have all come against teams aspiring to the same goal – promotion.

After looking certainties for at least a play-off place at one time, now they are just one of a bunch of teams chasing one of the four places.

Just five points cover Aldershot in fourth down to Dagenham in 11th and Rotherham know they have to pull out of their slump quickly.

"We were not good enough, the performance was not what anyone expects," said Rotherham manager Ronnie Moore.

"I want players who will come and work their socks off for this club. Morecambe were a unit, a group and I didn't see that in us.

"We have made it harder for ourselves. At one time we were in a good position for automatic promotion and now we are battling to stay in the play-offs. Are we good enough and do we have the desire to stay there?" asked Moore.

Morecambe were the better side from the start but had to wait for an hour before they put the game in their pocket with two goals in two minutes.
