Barnet midfielder Mark Byrne scored with a fortuitous early free-kick, his effort eluding everyone to find the Millers net.

Rotherham manager Andy Scott sent on substitute Ben Pringle and he popped up with an equaliser after his low shot crept in.

The Millers had a chance to force a win when Paul Downing was sent off for a second yellow card but Barnet held out.
