Video: Evans commits to Millers in wake of Posh interest

Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has distanced himself from the vacant manager’s position at Peterborough.

The League One club sacked Darren Ferguson on Saturday and Evans has been installed as favourite.

But the Millers boss said: “I was favourite for Sheffield Wednesday job now I’m favourite for Peterborough.

“I’m not aware of any approach, you can only put it down to internet rumour and speculation.

“I am contracted to Rotherham. My focus is on the job here, my focus is on Watford tomorrow night.

“Our fans should have no right to be concerned.”

Millers chairman Tony Stewart confirmed that Rotherham have not received an approach from Peterborough for Evans, and nor do they expect to.
