Flynn looking for Cup relief

The Blades have not won at home in the league since October 21, their only Bramall Lane success coming against Crewe in the first round of the FA Cup.

United more than matched fellow promotion contenders MK Dons on Tuesday night, but were left empty-handed as the visitors snatched a late winner.

Now winger Flynn is hoping United can takes out their frustrations on John Sheridan’s Argyle team.

“It’s frustrating,” admitted Flynn. “We played well against MK Dons, dominated, but they got the victory so we have to move on.

“We now have another home game to that right.

“We want to keep dominating the game, Plymouth will be a hard game, they are doing well in their own league. It’s a free game for them to come and have a go.

“It’s just the final ball. We have got lots of balls in the box, we put Dons under pressure, and you have to give them credit, they defended well.

“Maybe, only last year was the only time teams came and had a bit of belief. The first two years I was here, it was always the case teams would come and sit and defend.

“It’s your job to break them down and that’s what you have to do. Saturday will be no different, a lot of teams do it.

“It might even be a set-piece goal, as we have’t had many of them and it would be good to get one.

“The earlier you get the goal, the easier the game becomes as it takes a little bit of belief away from them. When teams with a game plan, an early goal sees it go out of the window.

“Plymouth are scoring goals, I saw them against Portsmouth and they played well. It will be a tough game.

“We have try to get back to winning ways at home. But we have just not been putting the ball in the back of the net.

“There is no great panic, we didn’t deserve to lose the MK Dons game.”
