Manager Nigel Adkins makes two changes to his starting line-up for tonight's clash with struggling visitors Shrewsbury Town.Loan striker Conor Sammon and Louis Reed come into the starting line-up with Paul Coutts and Jamal Campbell-Ryce reverting to the bench after starting Saturday's 1-1 draw at Walsall. With Sammon, Billy Sharp, Jose Baxter and Che Adams all named in the starting line-up, Adkins has employed an attacking formation in a bid to kick-start the Blades' fortunes.Meanwhile, David Edgar, who picked up a hamstring strain on international duty with Canada recently, is fit enough to take his place on the bench as United seek to claim their first win in five league games and move in an upward trajectory, with Adkins side currently languishing in 11th spot in League One.Shrewsbury, without a win at Bramall Lane since 1988, make one change with much-travelled striker Scott Vernon coming into the side, with ex-Barnsley assistant-boss Micky Mellon employing a two-pronged forward attack after starting with one up front in the 1-0 weekend loss at Wigan.Former Millers defender Matt Sadler is suspended, with midfielder Ian Black shrugging off a dead leg to be named in the starting line-up.

The Blades took the lead on 17 minutes, Sammon netting, but Selley Kaikai levelled eight minutes later.

And things got worse for the Blades, when Ian Black netted within a minute to make it 2-1.

Scott Vernon added a third Shrewsbury goal on 35 minutes to leave the home side facing a mountain to climb.

Three minutes into the second half and James Collins swept the ball home to stun the majority of the 17,843 crowd.

Dean Hammond pulled a goal back for the Blades on 65 minutes, heading home from a free kick, but it was simply not enough.
