Henderson. A one-man blockade by the classy loanee at times and the only Blades player who excelled on the day. 8

Basham. Little chance to show his overlapping skills. Kept too busy at the other end. 6

Egan. Not at his imposing best. Made one key second half block to thwart the impressive Tielemens, but dispossessed for Leicester’s second. 5

O’Connell. Lost Perez when he headed over early on. The movement and cuteness of him and Vardy posed him and his fellow defenders trouble at times. Almost bundled in a leveller with the Blades’ best moment. 5

Baldock. Trademark play set up McGoldrick for his early chance. Little opportunity to bomb forward as he does. 6

Berge. Struggled to get into the game and got the hook at the break. 5

Norwood. Produced one or two clever switches of play. But Tielemens and Ndidi were the dominant forces in the middle. Saw his pocket picked by Ndidi in the second half and it nearly led to a goal. 5

Osborn. Little chance to impose himself in the first half going forward. Replaced at the interval. 5

Stevens. Had his hands full with Justin and Perez and couldn’t get into the game. 5

McGoldrick. After his weekend highs, this was the fall. Came off at the break. 5

McBurnie. Worked hard, but got no change out of the experienced duo of Evans and Morgan. 6

Substitutes: Fleck (Osborn 45). Did up it a bit for the Blades. Booked late on. 6

Lundstram (Berge 45). Error almost led to a goal for Vardy early in the second half. 6

Mousset (McGoldrick 45) Put himself about, but often crowded out by Leicester’s senior defenders at the back. 6.
