Leyton Orient 0 Sheffield Wednesday 1: Reda Johnson nets Owls winner

Sheffield Wednesday climbed into the League One automatic promotion places after a narrow win at Leyton Orient.

New signings Nile Ranger and Keith Treacy were named Owls substitutes and Miguel Llera stepped in for Danny Batth (hamstring), Rob Jones (ankle), and Reda Johnson (ankle) started though. Winger Michail Antonio played despite a bruised back, and there was a surprise start for left-back Reda Johnson after a lay-off.

Chris O’Grady started in preference to Ryan Lowe, who dropped to the bench.

City rivals United, second in the table and two points better off at start of play, were not playing this weekend.

The Owls took the lead on 49 minutes, Reda Johnson firing home at the second attamept after a good free kick from Chris Lines.
