Hide AdSheffield United are currently rooted to the bottom of the table on one point, but a 12-point deduction for Everton at this stage would lift the Blades off the foot of the table.
As it stands, AFC Bournemouth, Burnley and Luton Town would also move up the table if a deduction was applied immediately.
As per the report, Everton’s case is currently being heard by an independent commission following financial losses of over £370m over a three-year period.
Everton have insisted they have complied with rules and have vowed to defend their position.
