O’Grady faces character test from Megson

O’Grady has scored just one goal in seven games since moving from League One rivals Rochdale but his hard-working performances have still won over Owls supporters.

Megson is without suspended leading scorer Gary Madine for today’s trip and wants O’Grady to step up to the plate.

“He’s still getting used to me and I am getting used to him,” said Megson.

“He works his socks off for the team but I just want him to change his personality and start grabbing the bull by the horns.

“He has got a lot of things going for him as a striker but an out-going, confident personality is not one of them.”

The Owls suffered a first defeat in seven games in midweek at Carlisle but are still third.

“It’s important to win games now and not talk about ‘kicking on’ further down the line,” stressed Megson.
