Jordan Rhodes headed the visitors in front after 10 minutes to reward a bright start for Huddersfield.

And it got worse for the Owls five minutes later when Rhodes again beat Rob Jones to a left-wing cross to head home.

But Wednesday finally came to life with two goals as many minutes. First Rob Jones headed home at the far post, then after an almighty scramble in front of the visiting Town fans Reda Johnson poked the ball home.

A superb individual goal from Ben Marshall on 63 minutes saw the Owls take the lead for the first time. The winger cut in from the right flank before firing low into Ian Bennett’s left-hand corner.

And it was 4-2 with 15 minutes left when Chris O’Grady flicked over a stranded Bennett, getting on the end of Chris Lines’s free kick.

Two minutes later and Town grabbed a lifeline as Rhodes fired home in front of the Town supporters.

And it was 4-4 in the sixth minute of stoppage time when Rhodes raced away to complete an amazing match.
