Here are the latest rumours involving Yorkshire’s clubs ahead of the closing of the loan deadline window on Friday at 5pm.
Out-of-favour Wolves defender Danny Batth has caught the eye of two Yorkshire clubs as they are hoping to strengthen their sides before the loan deadline closes.
Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are the two clubs looking to secure the signature of the six foot three central defender who has failed to make an appearance this season.
Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane, meanwhile, looked set to join Charlton early in the window however he is reluctant to drop out of the Championship.
O’Kane is now highly likely to stay at Leeds for the foreseeable future.
Izzy Brown could be a possible loan signing for Leeds as cover for Samu Saiz in the attacking midfield area.
Barnsley are hoping to snatch Portsmouth’s Conor Chaplin from Coventry. Barnsley’s late interest has reportedly sparked a bidding war between the two clubs which adds to the late transfer saga drama ahead of deadline day.
Hull City winger Pawel Grosicki has been linked with a move away from the club throughout the transfer window having been frozen out the team in recent weeks.
Grosicki fuelled these rumours late last night when he posted a picture on his Instagram of a cup of Turkish tea leading fans to believe his late move to Turkish club Bursapor is close to being completed ahead of the European deadline.
Tony Pulis has confirmed Middlesbrough striker Martin Braithwaite has asked to leave the club in an attempt to move to Spain following interest from Spanish clubs Leganes and Girona.
Middlesbrough manager Pulis has used the Dane this season and wasn’t intending to let him go, however Braithwaite has expressed that he would like to leave the club.
