Hammill, outstanding since linking up with the Reds for a second time in the autumn, limped off with a knee injury late on in Saturday’s thumping 6-1 Roses drubbing of Rochdale at Oakwell and is a doubt for tomorrow’s Valley Parade encounter.

On any potential updates regarding Hammill, head coach Lee Johnson said: “Not at the moment, no.

“Today is a big marker to see how he is. We will have to decide whether we get a precautionary scan or whether or not we just chuck him out there and say see how you get on.

“I don’t know is the honest answer at the minute. We will just have to see.”

On tomorrow’s opponents Bradford, who the Reds beat earlier in the season in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, Johnson added: “They are a typical strong Phil Parkinson side.

“They are a strong unit who are always very well organised and quite direct in their play, but effective.

“They have a couple of big lads and have just signed (Andy) Proctor, who always causes us a problem.”
