Pudil, on a season-long loan from Watford, missed Saturday’s match at Huddersfield Town with a niggle picked up on international duty, with Joe Bennett taking his place.

Meanwhile, Sam Hutchinson will be assessed by medical staff after missing the weekend derby with illness and is improving, according to Carvalhal.

Head coach Carvalhal said: “He (Pudil) is okay and is available and he (Hutchinson) is better, so let’s see. We have one more day.

“It is not a virus or this kind of problem and he is okay and he can be with us.

“Everyone else is in good shape and happy.
