Vine allowed to leave Tigers

ROWAN VINE has returned to Queens Park Rangers after a month on loan at Hull City.

The striker was brought in at the start of October in the hope he could bolster the Tigers' poor goalscoring record.

However, in five appearances – including four from the start – Vine failed to score and has returned to London following the expiry of his loan stint.

Vine, who has been told by Rangers manager Neil Warnock to find a new club, was substituted at half-time in last weekend's Yorkshire derby draw at Barnsley.

Meanwhile, James Harper should be fit to make a belated City debut in the Humber derby against Scunthorpe United.

The midfielder has been out since breaking his foot shortly after joining Hull from Reading during the summer.
