Why Barnsley FC head coach Gerhard Struber has a 'good feeling' again

BARNSLEY head coach Gerhard Struber has expressed confidence that his Reds squad will react in the best possible way at fellow strugglers Luton Town on Tuesday evening - and has a 'good feeling' ahead of the crunch trip to Kenilworth Road.

The relegation-threatened duo endured a horrendous weekend, with the second-from-bottom Reds crashing 4-0 at Stoke and rock-bottom Luton faring even worse in a 5-0 home drubbing to Reading.

Both results have heightened the need for a cherished win tomorrow and Struber believes that Barnsley will deliver a strong response in Bedfordshire.

Struber, who reports no fresh injury concerns, said: "It is a big game for us and everything is healthy. The only player unfit is Romal Palmer and every other player is fit for the fight tomorrow.

"The whole game was very difficult for everyone. We spoke about the game and are looking forward. Tomorrow is very important and it is not necessary to speak more about the game against Stoke.

"We know what is our responsibility to do better in this next game and everyone knows that. I am looking forward and I have a good feeling about tomorrow.

"We have a very good game plan and the right players on the pitch tomorrow. We have a big squad and everyone is ready and has the right fitness. We will see who is in the first 11 and players are ready and it is a good situation for me.

"I have not just 11 players, but a squad of 20 players and I trust everyone.

"Everyone must go on his personal limit with positive thinking. The other results were a little helpful for us, but the biggest impact is always our performance and focus.

"This is clear for me and my boys. We need points and victories in these next games."

Meanwhile, Struber has said there is no update regarding the situation with Bambo Diaby, with the Football Association's drawn-out investigation into an alleged anti-doping violation by the Reds defender

Diaby has been suspended from his first-team matches since January 22. He is training with the club, but unable to play in games.

The centre-half posted a message on Twitter, conveying his personal frustration.

He tweeted: "Suffered in silence and I’ll win the same way. I’ve never surrendered and I never will, thank you for all you support this first year."

Struber said: "We have no decision in Bambo's case. It is difficult for him and me and our whole team to play without him. Especially at this time as he is a very good player.

"We cry about this or handle it and we are looking forward at the moment without Bambo and we make for the best."
