Wilson is axed after Valley Parade defeat
Wilson took over from Dean Saunders at the Proact Stadium in December, 2015 but the Spireites fell into the League One relegation zone after winning just one of their last six matches, with Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Bradford City proving to be his final match in charge.

It was at Oakwell that Wilson had his most successful spell as a manager, famously guiding Barnsley to the Premier League as Division One runners-up in 1996-97.
It was the first time in Barnsley’s 125-year history that the club had won promotion to the top division of English football.
