The Minstermen were held to a 0-0 draw at Bootham Crescent by an Exeter team who are now without a win in seven matches.

The point was enough to keep York’s heads above the relegation zone on goal difference.

Wes Fletcher had the best chances for the hosts, firing at goalkeeper James Hamon and heading over from Marvin McCoy’s cross just past the hour mark.

Bobby Olejnik denied Liam Sercombe and ex-Sheffield Wednesday striker Clinton Morrison with a fine double save in the first half and Stephane Zubar kicked Alex Nicholls’s drive off the line.
