Hainsworth Park’s Peter Myers heading north of the border

The move will bring to an end almost a decade of service from Myers at Hainsworth Park during which he has enhanced his reputation as one of the area’s leading coaches.

He has spent all of his professional golfing career in and around East Yorkshire, starting as an assistant at Scarborough North Cliff before moving to Ganton. After achieving his PGA accreditation he spent time at Snainton Driving Range prior to his move to Hainsworth Park.

Myers said: “I am really excited about the move. The opportunities at the Dunes are tremendous.

“I have taken a 10-year lease on the driving range and with the installation of the indoor golf studio I look forward to being involved in promoting golf in that area of Scotland.

“Whilst being slightly off the beaten track I hope that anyone who knows me and finds themselves in the vicinity of the Dunes will look me up.”
